EVX Midstream Partners LLC entered into a definitive agreement to build the EVX South Texas produced water gathering system in the Eagle Ford oil window, the company said May 2. Construction will begin in May.
The gathering system and surrounding facilities will be underpinned by a fee-based, 15-year agreement that includes a 72,000 acre dedication in La Salle, Frio and Atascosa counties, Texas.
EVX South Texas is scheduled to be placed in service in 2016’s fourth quarter.
EVX is currently evaluating multiple expansion opportunities for the water system, and for potential crude oil and natural gas projects, to provide midstream solutions and cost savings to area producers.
Herb Chambers IV, president and CEO, said that EVX will also be able to provide crude oil gathering and blending services and natural gas gathering, processing and treating services.
EVX Midstream Partners LLC is based in The Woodlands, Texas.
