Investment firm KKR established a platform to provide asset management services to the global oil and natural gas industry, the firm said Dec. 23.
Deepak Munganahalli, the platform’s founder and executive chairman, said it will provide integrated solutions for engineering, maintenance, repair and overhaul services for asset owners and operators.
KKR Asian Fund II will provide most of the investment. Further details of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
Munganahalli will be based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He has more than 20 years’ experience in the global industry, the firm said.
KKR is based in New York.
