Natural gas infrastructure provider Williams Cos. Inc. said Dec. 21 that John Seldenrust was appointed as senior vice president of engineering and construction (E&C), effective Jan. 1. Seldenrust will report directly to Alan Armstrong, president and CEO.
Seldenrust succeeded Fred Pace as the lead on E&C. Pace will retire in mid-2016 after a career of more than 30 years. Pace will continue reporting to Armstrong, assisting with transition and integration activities until a final retirement date is set.
Seldenrust has more than 25 years’ industry experience and ensures the delivery of best-in-class engineering, design, project and construction management activities and processes across Williams’ businesses. Previously, he was senior vice president of eastern operations for Williams and Access Midstream.
Prior to joining Williams, Seldenrust handled engineering and operations leadership at Access Midstream, Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK), BP America, Vastar Resources and ARCO Oil & Gas.
He has a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree from Columbia International University, and currently serves on the board of the Construction Industry Institute.
